The Jaramogi
Oginga Odinga Foundation (JOOF) is a philanthropic,
social welfare, Non Governmental Organisation (NGO), registered
in 1995 in honour of the late Jaramogi Oginga Odinga.
OUR
VISION
JOOF is
committed to a society in which social justice, peace
and democracy prevail. This vision is based on the principles
of Jaramogi Oginga Odinga's virtues and values. Most notable
of these are :

Education,
where he espoused liberation theology and civic education
as critical to societal development.

Ideals
of democracy, as seen in his quest for expansion of
political space, participation and empowerment of all
citizens
-
African
socialism and belief in community, as espoused in his
belief of pan-Africanism.

Enterprise
of the individual, through supporting business and entrepreneurship.
